Keep to the Beat (Knowsley Council)

Invitation to all Knowsley Council Employees – Thursday, 5th September / Friday, 6th September

We are pleased to inform you that Primary Care Knowsley, in partnership with the ‘Working Well’ initiative (Knowsley Chamber), will be visiting you on Thursday, 5th September and Friday, 6th September 2024 to offer blood pressure checks to all Knowsley Council employees. The checks will be delivered by two of their clinicians between 2pm and 4pm on Thursday, and 8am and 1pm on Friday at your Stretton Way Depot in Huyton.

Understanding and monitoring your blood pressure is crucial for maintaining good health. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but it can lead to serious health issues if left unchecked. This is a great opportunity to ‘Keep to the Beat’ and take proactive steps in managing your health.

The process is quick and painless. Blood pressure is measured using a cuff that is placed around your upper arm. The cuff inflates to gently compress the arteries, and the clinician will then take a reading to determine your blood pressure. The entire procedure takes just a few minutes and provides important information about your cardiovascular health.
